Our impact

What the marketplace has actually moved

One rule governs this page: no number appears here that we cannot count or cite. The figures below are counted from the catalogue in this build; the monthly series is sample data and is labelled as such.

Please read this before quoting any figure on this page

This is a demonstration build, not a live marketplace. The counts of groups, women, villages, states, products and reviews are computed from the sample catalogue that ships with the code. The monthly orders-and-payout series further down is sample data written for this demo: a live deployment would read it from its own order database and reconcile it against the fortnightly settlement statements. Nothing here should be cited as a trading record.

Orders placedRupees paid to groupsEach series is scaled to its own peak month so both stay readable; the orders bars are not comparable in height to the rupee bars.

Paid to groups, year to date

₹32,60,100

Settled in fortnightly cycles straight into each group’s own bank account, with a statement naming every order. Sample data.

Orders in the same period

5,135

Averaging ₹635 paid to groups per order.

Quality commitments

The standards every group is held to

Not an aspiration list. These are the checks applied before a product is listed and again on the field visit.

No preservatives in food

Pickles are cured with oil and salt, not vinegar and stabilisers. Bakery is dispatched within a week of baking.

Azo-free dyes in textiles

Reactive and natural dyes only, printed and dried in shade so the colour bonds to the fibre instead of sitting on it.

Cure times are respected

Six weeks for cold-process soap, four weeks for pickle, three weeks for lemon. Shortening these is how a handmade product is made to look handmade.

Batch-tested where it matters

Honey, ghee and spices are tested for adulteration before packing, and the report is available on request.

Behind every figure is a named group

Each group has its own page with its village, its district, its craft and the price it set for its own products. The numbers only mean something once you can read those.
