About this product

Coriander, mint, green chilli and roasted cumin stone-ground into a thick, bright chutney with lemon as the only preservative. Because there is nothing artificial in it, the colour fades in about ten days — which is exactly how you can tell it is real.

This is a fresh chutney, not a cured pickle. Keep it in the fridge and finish within four weeks of opening.

What we check before a product is listed

Four things we do not compromise on, because a handmade product is judged on all of them.

No preservatives in food
Pickles are cured with oil and salt, not vinegar and stabilisers. Bakery is dispatched within a week of baking.
Azo-free dyes in textiles
Reactive and natural dyes only, printed and dried in shade so the colour bonds to the fibre instead of sitting on it.
Cure times are respected
Six weeks for cold-process soap, four weeks for pickle, three weeks for lemon. Shortening these is how a handmade product is made to look handmade.
Batch-tested where it matters
Honey, ghee and spices are tested for adulteration before packing, and the report is available on request.

Why did the colour change?

Real coriander and mint darken as they oxidise. We do not add green colour to hold the shade, so a small colour shift after a week is expected.
