Kutch embroidery is measured in stitches per inch, and the group grades its work the same way. It is the only number that separates a cushion cover worth ₹400 from one worth ₹1,400, and buyers are told which is which.

Members choose whether to work at the shed or at home — a small thing that decides whether twenty-six women or six can participate.

The group keeps a shared advance fund so a member can draw against a large order instead of waiting until it ships.
