About this product

A cotton razai in the Jaipuri style, filled and stitched by hand. The stitching runs through every layer, which is laborious and is the only way to stop the cotton migrating into the corners after a season. Warm enough for a Delhi winter and light enough to fold small.

Looking after it

Wash cold and alone for the first wash. Line dry in shade — direct sun fades the print before it fades the fabric.

No preservatives in food
Pickles are cured with oil and salt, not vinegar and stabilisers. Bakery is dispatched within a week of baking.
Azo-free dyes in textiles
Reactive and natural dyes only, printed and dried in shade so the colour bonds to the fibre instead of sitting on it.
Cure times are respected
Six weeks for cold-process soap, four weeks for pickle, three weeks for lemon. Shortening these is how a handmade product is made to look handmade.
Batch-tested where it matters
Honey, ghee and spices are tested for adulteration before packing, and the report is available on request.

Is this warm enough for a hill winter?

For most of India, yes. Below about 5 °C you would want a heavier fill or a blanket underneath.

Will the filling bunch up?

Not if it is washed gently. The hand-stitching through all layers is what prevents that.
