The story of Van Durga Samuh
Collection is done by members who have harvested honey in these forests for decades, using smoke and no fire, and leaving the brood comb behind so the colony survives the season.
Every batch is strained cold, never heated, and labelled with the collection date and the forest range. That single detail — a date — is what convinced their first online buyer.
Bamboo harvested during the thinning cycle is split and woven into baskets in the dry season, giving the group a second income when honey is out of season.
